Golden jumbo raisins are a hard to resist snack that many of us remember from our childhoods. Our parents were onto a good thing with them; they are extremely low in fat, cholesterol and sodium while being high in fibre and iron. They are also mostly sugar which is probably why they were so appealing to us when we were little.
Trail mix doesn’t seem quite right without golden jumbo raisins in there but that’s not all they are good for. You can try them in cakes and bread for a very delicious and flavoursome hit.
