Almond butter is an excellent, preservative free and natural alternative to peanut butter. While it has roughly the same number of calories and sugars, the levels of vitamins E and K, minerals such as iron and calcium are much higher than in peanut butter. While there is slightly less protein in almond butter, these extra nutrients make almond butter a great choice for your breakfast spread. There’s also a lot of available dietary fibre, in fact twice as much as peanut butter, making it the spread of choice for your digestive tract. Then there’s the flavour: bright, clean and rich, it’s just gorgeous.
